GST Calculator
Add GST to a price or remove it from a GST-inclusive price, with the CGST and SGST split.
How to calculate GST
- Adding GST: GST = Price × Rate ÷ 100. Final price = Price + GST.
- Removing GST: Base price = Inclusive price × 100 ÷ (100 + Rate). GST = Inclusive price − Base price.
Example
An ₹1,000 item at 18% GST costs ₹1,180. If the inclusive price is ₹1,180, the base price is ₹1,000 and GST is ₹180.
CGST, SGST and IGST
For sales within one state, GST splits equally into Central GST and State GST. For sales between states, the full amount is charged as Integrated GST (IGST). The total tax is the same either way.
Note: GST rate slabs have been revised by the GST Council over time. Confirm the rate that applies to your item on the official GST portal before filing returns.
